Apathy is a revered voice in underground hip-hop—an emcee/producer who built his name through razor-sharp lyricism, boom-bap fidelity, and a deep respect for the culture’s golden era. With roots in Connecticut and a discography that spans over two decades, he’s collaborated with icons like DJ Premier, Black Thought, Pharoahe Monch, Pete Rock, and Styles P, while anchoring acclaimed groups like Demigodz, Get Busy Committee and Army of the Pharaohs.

In 2025, Apathy launched Anchors Up Rec, a label born from his vision to unite timeless hip-hop with the spirit of Connecticut’s shoreline—laid-back, soulful, and self-reliant. It’s a home for music that favors craft over clout, where storytelling, sample chops, and lyricism still matter.

Anchors Up debuts with Mom & Dad, Apathy’s most personal album to date. Entirely self-engineered and largely self-produced—with key assists from Playa Haze and Little Vic—the project blends nostalgic synths and sociopolitical themes, with the hard-hitting and insightful wordplay you’d come to expect from Apathy. From its packaging to its message, the album sets the tone for a label that moves with purpose.
